'Big Brother' Star Passes Away

Very sad news — one of the stars of the very first season of “Big Brother” has passed away.

Cassandra Walden, who was actually the very first contestant to ever enter the house on the U.S. version of the show, passed away on September 25th from injuries related to a car accident in Rome, TMZ reports.

A United Nations source says she was struck by a car two months ago in Rome, and suffered a very serious head injury. She never regained consciousness before her death.

Julie Chen, host of the show, post a nice note on Instagram about Cassandra, writing, “Thank you for bringing your intelligence, warmth, and wisdom to the Big Brother house Season 1."

Cassandra finished 6th in Season 1.

Rest in peace.
